# $SEED

$SEED is the reward and participation token of the Bonsai ecosystem.\
It acts as a **coupon** granting holders the right to purchase $Bonsai at a \~**10% discount**, through a 1:1 vesting and redemption mechanism.

$SEED exists on **Arbitrum and** **Base**.

#### Where to Get $SEED

There are three main ways to obtain $SEED:

1. **Airdrops** — $SEED was distributed to eligible users. More [here ](/bonsai-dao/more/usdseed-airdrop.md).&#x20;
2. **Umami Vault Incentives** — stakers of GM USDC Vaults on Umami earn $SEED rewards.
3. **Liquidity Provision (Camelot DEX)** — LP the $SEED/USDC pair to earn rewards.
4. **Vendor Finance Integration** — $SEED will be borrowable or lendable within Vendor pools, supporting on-chain credit markets.

🪙 **Capped Supply:** 10,000,000 $SEED (no inflation beyond this cap).

#### Emission Strategy

$SEED emissions are intentionally paced to prevent dilution and front-running.\
They are distributed gradually across airdrops, vault staking, and LP rewards — all backed by **real $Bonsai** in the redemption pool.

* **Vesting:** pair 1 $SEED with 1 $Bonsai and unlock a discounted purchase after vesting. Buy $Bonsai with ETH at a 10% discount. ETH is used to buyback $Bonsai.&#x20;

#### Incentive Campaign Duration

* The **Redemption Program** is **limited** by pool capacity.
* The initial pool contains **2M $Bonsai**, available for discounted redemptions.
* Once depleted, the program ends unless replenished via DAO proposal.

Estimated campaign duration: **6–8 months** (subject to activity).
