Bonsai DAO operates as a MetaDAO focused on strategic capital allocation, creating a scalable and adaptable ecosystem of interconnected products, known as Leaf spinouts or shortly Leaves. This innovative structure enables efficient funding, development, and launch of new DeFi protocols while maintaining strong ecosystem alignment.
Unlike traditional DAO models, Bonsai DAO’s approach is centered around building a network of independent but synergistic financial spinouts. Each Leaf spinout is developed with a focus on addressing specific DeFi challenges while contributing to the broader Bonsai ecosystem's growth.
Value flows back to the ecosystem through two primary mechanisms:
Airdrops, strategic token distributions from Leaves to $Bonsai holders when Leaves evolve into it's own DAOs
Buyback program that's fueled by revenue from Leaves
